LIMITED EDITION OF 1050 COPIES ON JAPON VELLUM (this is copy #248). Original yellow cloth with vellum spine, red and gilt device on upper cover, lettered in gilt on spine. New maps using information from Sir Aurel Stein (1862/11/26-1943/10/26) and drawn by Miss G. Heath. Folding map crudely repaired (creating tape stain) but complete, Book plate removed from 2nd blank page, covers lightly soiled and corners bumped, binding completely solid, many pages uncut.

Condition: Very Good. First Edition Thus. A Very Good Set Complete in 10 Volumes. Book are lightly to moderately shelf worn with a few more prominent bumps across volumes. Boards, notably spines, are moderately sunned. Text blocks are starting to yellow from age as it typical with this paper stock, and are variously if lightly dust soiled. Text is unmarked.
