Binding remains firm. Small bookshop label to rear pastedown. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some moderate marking and tanning. Gilt lettering is dulled.

Published privately by the author and also inscribed/signed by him to half-title page, contains average shelf wear signs, age foxing to prelim pages and page block, interior mostly clear but does have the occasional minor age mark, nicely illustrated, cover of decent appearance overall for the age with some light age specks, a little wear to lower spine tip, all firm and intact. Signed by Author(s).

D/w some chips/tears, sun tanned. 96 numbered pages with b/w illustrations, presentation inscription signed by the author & dated 1941. Rest of book unmarked, pages have a light even yellow hue. Enclosed is a press cutting of unknown relevance. Binding secure. Size 15.5 x 25 cm.

Panels and spine have light edge wear with tears and creases. Moderate tanning and wear marks to flaps, panels and spine.

Staples rusted, some wear and marking to covers. Very good. A pseudonymous collection of poetry about the Home Guard in Bengeo, Hertfordshire. The Imperial War Museum posits that the author is Percy H. Ilott, not in the British Library or found on JISC Library Hub Discover. Signed by Author.

The publisher's own retained copy with their label on the front cover and perforated stamp in the preliminaries with inked publishing date and label on the front pastedown, reading ÔFile Copy - Sept. 22th 1924Õ. Introduction by Richard Wilson. Poems include: The Lilac Fairy, The Witch, Fairies' Wood, Peter Hoare and his Soldiers. Some browning to endpapers, otherwise very good indeed. Excellent condition.
