She first came to the Texas Panhandle in 1888 to visit her brother before moving to Ochiltree County herself in 1916. She also wrote short stories and essays about her life in Texas. Book covers clean and bright. Boards very slightly bowed. Both ends of spine very gently bumped. Corners sharp. Page edges clean. No previous owner marks. Text, photographs and illustrations clean and bright. Minor soiling to Dust Jacket covers. Head of DJ spine gently bumped. DJ now protected in mylar. Ships same or next business day well protected in a box. ; Large 8vo 9" - 10" tall; 204 pages.
