Paperback. Condition: Good. First Edition. First edition, 1933-44. Large 8vo, wraps as issued. Minor creasing and chipping at edges of wraps. Light stain at heel, else good-very good. A technical and mathematical description of the electrical machine. 538 pages. Professor Pestarinni, an Italian electrical engineer, was the inventor of the metadynamo. The metadynamo, an electric machine capable of converting electric current to direct current by raising or lowering its voltage. Before the introduction of static converters, the metadynamo was used to transform direct current. The machine is thus able to function as both a motor and a generator at the same time. Scarce.
