Hardcover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Writing as "John Blaine", Hal Goodwin partnered with Peter Harkins in 1947 to kick off a new "Rick Brant Electronic Adventure" juvenile series with this book, "The Rocket's Shadow". This is a 1955 printing, listing 10 Rick Brant titles on its front jacket flap. T…he book is in near fine condition, marred only by traces of wear to the top and bottom of the spine. The binding is sound and square, with no reading crease in the spine. The boards -- covered in brown "tweed" cloth -- are unfaded, unmarked and otherwise unworn. The pages are unmarked and unworn, with no apparent age toning. The bright, colorful dust jacket (now protected by a removable mylar cover) is in very good+ condition, marred only by a corner-clipped front flap, some ink marks on the front flap, some light smudges on back, and very light wear at top and bottom of spine and on front flap fold. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its proud new owner in the same condition as my description.
