Hardcover. Condition: Sehr gut. 1. Auflage. Z : 25 x 29 cm, 224 Seiten/pages - The title Academy of Tal R should be understood as a mildly humorous provocation, since Tal R's artwork always appears free, wild, searching, vital and simply unacademic. Through an overview of his work from the past twenty years and a series of new works, the exhibition showed that Tal R from the outset has been a storyteller with a special eye for the overlooked, hidden and repressed spaces of modern life. In his art and thinking, Tal R is constantly interested in everything that goes against conformity.

OCTO is one of DenmarkÆs youngest design groups, formed in 1998 by eight active designers from all over the country. The photographs of the objects are of extremely high quality, and the layout of the book is a design triumph in itself, with matte color photos lit scenographically. The images are accompanied by unusually insightful remarks on the use of design in the 90s, and also by intriguing prose-verse on the human experience of hand-crafts and human designs. , Danish/ English, Year1997, Illust. The organizers of this exhibition envisioned that, besides just showing paintings, the project would offer a contribution to the dialogue and the ongoing discussion about painting as a medium. About painting as an art form which is always being defined in relation to the other branches of art and being defined in relation to the general development in a wider social context, on the whole. The project was not aimed at making an overall appraisal of painting where the questions about paintingÆs own premises, about painting as a work of art and about painting in relation to the surrounding space are urgently vivid issues., English/ Danish, Year2000, Illust. LundbyeÆs paintings seem to exude raw emotion. He loved the sensual immediacy of animals but, in turn, Lundbye (1818-1848) feared the animal in man. In his paintings of landscapes and farm scenes, for example, people are ominously absent. In fact, his fascinating paintings seem to possess a national demonic power in their stark naturalism. A great introduction to LundbyeÆs lifework, unfortunately cut short by his early death. , English, Year1993, Illust. B/W4, Illust. Color29, ISBN 8888978214, Code 4679.
