Soft cover. Condition: Very Good. Peter Panteluk, An Easy Guide to Historic Boston, by auto, by foot. Boston, 1947. Mimeographed. Occasional mas and images. 11"x 8.5", 22pp plus 10pp. Bound at top with metal clasps. GOOD+/VG condition. [++] Provenance: Library of Congress, with a tin stamp on front cover and surplus rubberstamp on rear cover. There's an old horizontal fold at midpoint. [++] My offhand guess is that this publication may not have been, well, very popular. I cannot find it online, nor in the great librarians' tool, WorldCat (which surveys holdings in libraries worldwide); nor can I find anything else written by Mr. Panteluk in WorldCat. The work reads well, and is interesting. Perhaps the format (which has the word "Easy" in its title) wasn't easy at all to use?plus it wouldn't even fit in a pocket without bulky folds. There you have it. For whatever reason, I think I can classify this as "rare". Laid-in are two copies of the book's LC card catalog cards, which I guess were never used as the book seems to never have entered the LC collection.
