Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Large octavo 22.5x15.5 cm., cloth, 331pp. Edited and forward by Peteris Kikuts. A collection of contemporary poets presented in two sections. The first consists of 23 established poets (Sudrabkains, Laicens, Kurcijs, Apsesdels, Zamaics, Caks, et al), and the second of upcoming poets (Roze, Dale, Barda, Zalite, Eglitis, inter alia). A full-page photo portrait accompanies the work of each poet. These comprised the modernist and avant-garde literati of interwar Latvia. OCLC locates two holdings in North American institutions (NYPL, LOC). This copy very good+.
