Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Fuller, Maud S.; Petersham, Michael (illustrator). First Edition First Printing. The very first in what would become a two-volume collection of poems for children, illustrated by 2 of the most renowned children's book illustrators of the day: Maud Fuller & Michael Petersham. The book contain 105 short verses & longer poems by both famous & lesser-known authors, complemented throughout the book's 100 pages with pen-&-ink sketches. Table of Contents & Introduction by Emma J. Sebring (like the other 2 authors, also from St. Agatha's School) in front, Index of First Lines in rear. A FIRST EDITION, First Printing, from 1917, this small hardcover (5.50" x 7.50") has light tan cloth over boards colorfully decorated with an image of a girl holding flowers to front/blue lettering to front & spine. Condition is VG: generally quite clean, with the occasional spot or smudge. Stamps from Sacramento County Free Library to all endpapers, else, clean & unmarked.
