Un volume in-folio (35, 5 x 27, 5 cm), relié, dos rouge toilé, plats marbrés avec sur le Ier plat une grande pièce de titre rouge avec le titre en lettres dorées: GUERRES DE LA REVOLUTION FRANCAISE ET DU PREMIER EMPIRE. Aucune page de titre à l'intérieur ni d'indications sur l'éditeur. On trouve seulement 73 reproductions de grandes oeuvres picturales militaires ou apparentées (Regnault, Vernet, Gros, Desenne, Gérard, Vernet, Clodion, David, etc.), dont 60 en pages simples et 13 sur double-pages (celles)ci étant montées sur onglet). Il s'agit probablement de l'Atlas des volumes de texte écrits par "Une société d'écrivains militaires et civils" . En tout cas le choix des reproductions semble exhaustif et ne présente aucun manque visible. Chaque reproduction (en noir) est évidemment gravée et lithographiée au trait sur papier spécial . Exemplaire en TRES BON ETAT.

(il primo bianco,  occhietto, antiporta e titolo a stampa), 76 pp. di testo italiano e francese su due colonne (caratteri tondi e corsivi di corpo e spaziatura diversa), 36 ff. di tavole f.t., 1 f. bianco. Antiporta in rame disegnata da Petitot e incisa da Volpato, frontespizio, realizzato dai medesimi artisti, con grande vignetta alle armi Borbone fiancheggiate dai leoni di Spagna, 5 testate, 8 capilettera e 19 finalini incisi in rame; 36 tavole fuori testo incise in rame di cui 6 a doppia pagina. Elegante legatura moderna ad imitazione antica, cornice oro ai piatti, fregi floreali al centro dei 4 angoli, titolo oro su tassello e ricchi fregi al dorso a  7 nervi. Grandiosa pubblicazione voluta dalla Corte Ducale di Parma con la descrizione dei principali spettacoli allestiti per le nozze tra Ferdinando duca di Borbone e Amalia d'Asburgo, sorella dell'imperatore (''Descrizione degli abiti'', ''Nomi delle Nobil Persone impegnate nel torneo'', ''Le Pastorelle d'Arcadia, festa campestre'', ''Relazione'', ''Fiera Chinese''). Brooks segnala che ne furono tirate 2 edizioni, ciascuna di 400 copie, che però non risultano in vendita nei cataloghi del Bodoni, perché l'opera fu ben presto esaurita. L'imponente apparato decorativo fu affidato a Eurimond Alexandre Petitot, architetto e disegnatore nato a Lione nel 1727 ed ormai all'apice della sua carriera di architetto di corte, in collaborazione con il giovane Bodoni, solo da un anno in città come nuovo direttore della Stamperia Reale, e quindi all'esordio della sua gloriosa attività. Le Feste sono la seconda opera in cui i due collaborano e Petitot vi figura non solo quale inventore e realizzatore dei complessi progetti architettonici, ma anche come scenografo, costumista e decoratore, avendo fornito i disegni delle molte illustrazioni dell'opera, magistralmente rese da Benigno Bossi, principale riproduttore all'acquaforte, da Volpato, Patrini e altri. L'eco delle feste e della loro pubblicazione fu molto vasto. Jean Pierre Mariette si stupiva ''à voir sortir d'une imprimerie naissante un livre si parfaitement exécuté dans toutes ses parties.un chef-d'oeuvre''. Maria Antonietta confessava alla sorella Maria Amalia di aver spesso sfogliato il ''beau livre'' per ritrovarsi con lei. Bell'esemplare, nitidamente impresso su carta assai pesante.
