Cette version de la carte de France de Phélipeau, publiée sous la Restauration, semble très peu commune. Langue: Français.

In-4° broché. Dédicace de l'auteur. Couverture un peu jaunie, fripée, quelques taches, frottés, petits manques. A l'intérieur, quelques taches, pliures, des coins cornés ou pliés, quelques accrocs. Tranches jaunies, tachées, salies, rousseurs.

A Paris chez Basset, 1821. Sous sa chemise cartonnée, très belle carte de France en couleurs, en 36 panneaux, développant une dimension totale de 75 cm x 68 cm. Petit trou sans manque au niveau de l'Angleterre sans gravité, la chemise est un peu abimée. Très bon exemplaire, couleurs fraiches.

Unbacked folding map in original stiff boards. Age-toned. Separations at some fold junctions, short tears along three folds. Extremely minor loss at two of the junctions. Outline color by department. This map shows the height of the expansion of greater France into the neighboring kingdoms which had been conquered and annexed by Napoleon. The departments extend south through Italy as far as Rome in the south and Venice in the east, along the North Sea to Hamburg, and to the Rhine in northern and central Germany. Published by Basset in Rue St. Jacques. A fascinating snapshot of Napoleonic France threatening to incorporate all of Europe, just before Napoleon's ill-fated campaign into Russia.
