Hardcover. Condition: Good. Early printing. Note: sold as a good original reading copy only, NOT a collectible in this condition. Octavo, 8 1/2" tall, viii + 551 pages, gilt spine titles on black cloth. A good, generally clean, early hard cover edition with significant shelf wear, rubbing through at all fore-corner tips, back strip cloth frayed at top and bottom edges light exterior soiling; internal binding generally solid, paper moderately yellowed with foxing throughout.

Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Octavo. 370 pages. Hardcover bound in full leather. The leather is rubbed and worn but sound. Hinges rubbed. The corners are bumped, and there is some old scuffing to the binding. Sondley Collection (Asheville, NC) bookplate on the front pastedown. The foot of the spine has a black leather label with "F. A. Sondley." The front pastedown has a Sondley Collection (Asheville, NC) bookplate. F. A. Sondley was a book collector in Asheville, NC who donated his extensive antiquarian collection to the Asheville Library. The text block is sound, and the text is foxed.
