Black and white reprinted photographs and illustrations and one color frontispiece showing the Confederate flags, complete. Three additional pages in the back, two of which are advertisements for engraving and photography companies and the other being an ad for a magazine called the Confederate Veteran. The Confederate Veteran's subject matter, as the name suggests, was about veterans of the Confederate Army. The Confederate Veteran was founded in 1893 and is still published to this day six times per year. Former owner's inscription handwritten in black ink on front free endpaper: "Presented to Mrs. E. J. Mackey, By Mrs. [.], December 23rd 1900." Purple stamps of E. J. Mackey with corresponding address in Fort Worth, Texas are on the front free endpaper and back free endpaper. Pages and covers are clean and intact overall. Covers have some wear at the corners, along the edges, at the head and tail of spine, and on the front joint. A small hole in the lower-left corner of the back cover that affects the back free endpaper. Two small pieces of tape on title page, not affecting text. …
