Here is a nice edition of "Nicholas Nickleby" by Charles Dickens, published circa 1965 by Odhams Press, Ltd. in Long Acre, London. Odhams Press was dissolved in 1968. Odhams chose to keep the original illustrations created by Phiz (Hablot Knight Browne), which was, of course, a good decision "The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby", first issued in serial parts, was Dickens' third novel, and the one that firmly established him in the pantheon of English novelists. It is part comedic, partly a romance, and partly serious exposition (especially the latter parts of the story. Wackford Squeers, the cruel schoolmaster, is one of Dickens' great villains, based on a person that Dickens had once met. It is a complex story, in ways that only the serially issued novel might be.
