Overall, a Good solid copy of a lovely book.*** The book opens with two dedications to Madeleine Fabry, wife of Chancellor Pierre Séguier - one by Jean Ballesdens, Séguier s secretary and a great bibliophile, and the other by the printer Pierre Rocolet. Two of the fifteen plates bear the name of Balthasar Moncornet, a prolific Parisian painter, engraver, and print dealer, best known for his portraits of the nobility of the time.
