Soundly bound in publisher's blue cloth lettered in dark blue to cover and spine. Binding lightly shelf cocked; cloth at spine shows moderate toning with milder toning to sides. Superficial fraying to cloth at spine ends; corners lightly bumped with trace rub through at tips. Front hinge a little tender with an archival paper tape reinforcement in the gutter. Foxing to endpages but text pages unaffected. A pair of squiggle marks, one in thin green marker, to the page facing the title leaf. A few scattered pages with brief passages underlined in pencil. Illustrated throughout with b&w drawings, figures and photos. An early and substantial application of the methods of experimental psychology to education and child study, illustrating the emergence of educational psychology as an empirical discipline in the early twentieth century.
