"Magazine": toned, soiled, chipped, a corner of the front cover has been taped on, creased else good. Edwin Gustav Pipp was the managing editor of "The Detroit News" when he was hired by Henry Ford to be an editor on the "Dearborn Independent" which was acquired in 1918 by Ford's aide and secretary, Ernest G. Liebold. Pipp left in 1920 aghast at the plans for anti-semetic articles, going on to found Pipp's Weekly and Pipp's Magazine. Articles in the "Weekly": "Detroit As A World Industrial Center" (included in this article is "Henry Ford's Plan For Expansion"), "Some Facts About Detroit", "News From Detroit's Real Estate Dealers". Also included are ads for varoius subdivisions: "Comeford's Ford Road", "Telegraph Road North Dearborn". The "Magazine" offers articles "Great World Markets Open To Detroit Automobiles", "Detroit As The Aviation Center". Also, two photos of downtown Detroit showing its growth five years apart.
