    Hardcover. Condition: Very Good +. Numbered, Limited Second Edition. NUMBERED, LIMITED SECOND EDITION, 1932. This copy is 135/200. Hardcover. The first edition was published 20 years earlier in 1912. Quarter burgundy leather and tan cloth binding. Cover bears gilt lining at the leather/cloth seam. Gilt lettering on the spine. Gilt top edge. Deckled foredge and foot. Handmade, cream paper. Heavily illustrated with black and white engravings, many with a loose tissue leaf protector laid in. Explanatory Notes, Prefatory Essay, and Introductory Essay of 1912 at the front go into great detail about the plates, the process, and the artist. xlvii, 333 pp. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Sir David Young Cameron (1865-1945) was a Scottish painter and etcher. His subjects included architectural studies, of which he produced a number of popular 'sets' and landscapes. He received various medals and awards for his etchings. In general his prints feature areas of great darkness, offset by highlights. Cameron would later become known for his church interiors and barren landscapes of Scotland done in drypoint. CONDITION: Overall VG+, shows overall shelf wear and light age toning. Lacks loose leaf signed etching "Castle Moyle" which was originally issued with the first 200 copies of this limited edition. Completely unmarked, leaves are bright and etchings are bold and dark. A nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied.

Quarter salmon morocco gilt with black buckram sides with gilt device, 8vo., variously paginated, approximately 48 tissue-guarded copper-plate engravings by Hester Sainsbury hand coloured by A. Alexander and Sons. One of 1,000 sets printed on all rag paper by Molyneux for the first two volumes and Richard Clay and Sons for the rest. Attractive engraved bookplate of A. P. Kenrick Edward in each volume, else partially unopened, clean and bright within showing none of the usual foxing or toning, with unusually well preserved bindings that show only mild fading to the spines, old faint stains to two volumes, a minute scuff to one other, and light wear to some spine extremities; the buckram boards are fine and unworn. Addressed reply postcard from Rodker laid in. Near fine; in archival mylar. This is about as nice a set as one is likely to find. Additional shipping cost may be requested.
