Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. This is a rebound ex-library copy of this rare title. It tells the story of Casper Partridge, a four-year-old boy who was kidnapped by the Menomonees in 1850 at his family's sugar camp in Winnebago Country, Illinois. The child was discovered in 1852, and a trial was held to determine his true identity. Many pages are soiled and foxed but the book is complete. It contains all 79 pp. Some repair to parts of leaves, not affecting the text, was done when the book was rebound. Except for the binding, one would not know this is an ex-library copy. It does not have the usual stamps and labels. Please view photo(s) to determine exact condition.
