Composed of highly saturated colors abstractly cast over dark backgrounds, the images reflect and enhance the surges of anxiety, love, and nostalgia that characterize much of Valentine's verses. Bound in blue-gray paper over boards, backed in navy cloth with glit spine titling. Fine. One of 150 copies, signed by the illustrator, Linda Plotkin, at the colophon.

Hardcover. Condition: Near fine. Limited Edition. Octavo, 45pp., illustrated by Linda Plotkin. A near fine copy in the publisher's printed boards with black cloth spine, gently sunfaded on the spine, else lovely. A beautiful edition, which pairs Valentine's poetry with Plotkin's abstract illustrations from linoleum and zinc blocks, which are very richly produced on the bright white Frankfurt mould-made paper. One of 150 limited copies SIGNED by Plotkin on the limitation page, this example is unnumbered and out of series.
