The very scarce, illustrated first edition of this bilingual French and English poetry work by Vladimir Polissadiv. Very scarce. First edition. Gaberbocchus Black Series, No. 5-6. In the publisher's original soft covers. Bilingual edition in the original French, accompanied by the translation by Barbara Wright. Profusely illustrated throughout by the author from magic lantern slides. Fascinating poetry work by Polish poet and artist Vladimir Polissadiv under the name Pol-Dives. Polissadiv had a close relationship with renowned Polish writer Stefan Themerson, who he hid in his Paris apartment during the Nazi occupation of 1940. Themerson introduces the text, which was also published at his own Gaberbocchus Press. In the publisher"s original soft covers. Externally, very smart with minor shelf wear and light marking, more noticeable to purple spine detail. Internally, firmly bound. Very bright and clean with the odd mark, more common to the first and last few pages. Very Good. book.
