Softcover. First Edition, First Printing. pp. 122. 12mo., measuring 6.5" x 9". Illustrated stiff card covers held with white metal spiral binding. Bright, clean, and unmarked. Appears unread; as new. A rich compilation of traditional ethnic recipes, all accompanied with the names of their respective contributors. Sections include: Borsch & Soups; Vareneki Fillings; Vareneki; Perohee (Pyrohi Fillings); Perohee (Pyrohi); Pancakes; Salads; Main Dishes (Kwas, Casseroles, etc.); Breads & Buns; Tea Biscuits & Doughnuts; Muffins; Cookies; Cakes; Puddings; Jams; Relishes & Pickles, et al. Scarce in commerce, our offering being the only extant copy available at time of cataloguing. OCLC records only three insitutional holdings of this title (see OCLC #49742073). The National Doukhobour Heritage Village was officially opened on June 29, 1980, the day which the Doukhobours celebrate annually as Peter's Day. It is the day which commemorates the burning of the arms and which led to the Doukhobour emigration from Russia.
