Pomponius Gauric was an Italian humanist who is primarily remembered for his bronze-sculpting treatise De Sculptura where he describes the function and role of 15th-century science in bronze forming. Giovanni Pontano was a 15th-century Italian poet who was best known for his works of prose; works which are still considered useful to literature students of the 21st-century. His works include: Urania and Meteororum poems describing astronomical sciences and mythology, constellations Lepidina poem on the mythological marriage of Sebeto to Parthenope De Hortis Hesperidum poem on orange trees Hendecasyllaborum eleven syllable poems on personal topics o Tumuli o Neniae This 1504-05 printing of the works of Pontano and Gauric was published by Giunta in Florence and Aldo Manuzio in Venice, and retains many of the features that were common amongst 15th-century printings.
