Mit dem Erscheinen der im Jahre 1806 in Angriff genommenen, auf einheitlichen astronomischen und trigonometrischen Messungen "Franziszeischen Landesaufnahme" wurde eine neue Organisationsform bei der Veröffentlichung der Karten des Generalquartiermeister-Stabs wirksam: Das Topographische Bureau des k. k. Generalquartiermeister-Stabs besorgte ab 1811 nicht nur den Stich, sondern auch den Druck und den Vertrieb der eigenen Kartenblätter. Den Anfang bildete die "Carte des Herzogthums Salzburg" (Maßstab 1 : 144000), deren 15 Sectionen in der Zeit zwischen Juli 1811 und März 1813 auf den Markt kamen.- Links oben das Titelblatt und die Zeichenerklärung.
