With green cloth boards, green end papers, 21 x 13 cm (8 1/4 x 5 1/8 inches, marbled page edges, the contemporary bookplate of the Earl of Ilchester, who is list…ed as one of the subscribers. The binding has good joints, is worn at the corner tips and the boards are either faded or have a light stain. xxxii, 367 clean pp., tight. Twelve sermons on gospel themes, by Cellerier, Moulinie, Gaussen, Mouchon, De Joux, Diodati, Thouron, Picot. The list of subscribers includes the King of England and five additional members of Royalty.The editor is the Reverend J. S. Pons, "One of his Majesty's Chaplains a tthe Dutch Chapel, st. James's palace, and Minister of the French Episcopal Church, called Eglise des Grecs." Rev. Pons presents each minister and some customs of the Church of Geneva in his 32-page Introduction.
