Softcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: No Dust Jacket. First Edition. This copy has an envelope in a clear enclosure taped to the inside of the front cover. The envelope is addressed to "Mr Poppleton and Crew / Campbell Island / C/- Civil Air Administration / Private Bag / Wellington". The front of the envelope has postage stamps with Christchruch postmarks dated 26 January 1956. The rear of the envelope has a Campbell lsland postmark dated 24 February 1956. This copy signed by George Poppleton in blue ink on the title page. x, 233, [1 (blank)] pages + folding colour frontispiece map. Illustrated card covers. Page dimensions: 240 x 172mm. Colour and black-and-white photographic illustrations.
