Member of the USSR Union of Artists. Born in Kovno (Kaunas). Graduated from the Moscow VKHUTEMAS (1924). In the 1930s, he created a number of political posters. He worked in the poster field for over thirty years; artist and leading editor in the largest publishing houses: Art , Fine Art and others (1930s 1960s). Elena Povolotskaya was the editor of the publishing house 'Izogiz'.Back cover slightly faded, small tears on last page from staples, traces of publisher's glue on spine inside, otherwise fine.
