Signed and numbered (15/50) by the artist in pencil. Montana artist Ace Powell (1912-1978) was perhaps the most prolific artist of the American West in the 20th century. Strongly influenced by the artist Charles M. Russell, Powell created what he knew best, paintings, etchings, and sculptures of Montana life and scenery, cowboys, and the Blackfeet Indians. His works can be found in museums and private collections throughout the United States; an especially good selection is held by the Hockaday Museum in Kalispell, Montana, where Powell lived the last 13 years of his life. The etching is in excellent condition: a very strong impression that is clean, bright, and crisp. SIGNED. Fine Art Print.
