His scurrilous bald, funny pithy and lively comments about the great and good with descriptions such as this on one Lord. The Earl of Oxforde when presenting himself again at court after 7 years self exile for farting when bending to honour the Queen and then leaving the country in shame, was greeted after the incident 7 years later with the words "Most Welcome Sir, we have forgotten the fart".
