Pratt was a well-known Ottawa poet whose poems were published in many Canadian magazines and newspapers. Ryerson published two books by her in its Chap-Book Series. Her poems appeared on a regular basis in the Ottawa Journal up until the 1970's.

This is Chap-Book Number One Hundred and Twenty-Eight LENORE ALEXANDRA PRATT was born in Toronto, the daughter of James Alexander Tucker, one of the leaders of the student rebellion at the University of Toronto in 1895. She moved at the age of thirteen to Ottawa, where she remained until going to Newfoundland. Mrs. Pratt has written poetry since early childhood and her work has appeared in many periodicals in Canada, such as Saturday Night, Canadian Poetry, The Ottawa Journal, The Montreal Star, and Chatelaine. She was the mother of four children, but managed to find time for reading, music and needlework. Decorative card covers designed by Thoreau MacDonald.
