First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. First Edition. 262 pages (complete). A comprehensive overview of the life and works of the remarkable Pierneef (who was able, almost uniquely, captured the light of veld). The dustjacket is neat with some wear to the edges. The faces have scuffing and some rubbing but are otherwise benign. The boards are placid with shelving wear to the edges. Within, the first free page has been removed. The contents have evidence of use throughout, however they are contented and comfortable. The pages are clean, clear; the coloured plates are fresh and elegant and convey the elysian spirit of Pierneef's paintings most affectingly. fk.
