Light thumb marking, foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Rear is also cracked exposing netting. Pages & illustrations are moderately tanned. Tearing to multiple page's edges. Text is unaffected. More pronounced tanning and foxing to free end papers and pastedowns. Boards have heavy edge-wear with substantial bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Boards are slightly bowed. Strong tanning to spine and edges.

Blue cloth-covered boards with dark blue lettering front and spine. Top edge strayed blue. 8vo. Cloth a little worn, rubbed and rounded at corners and spine and fade all round edges and over spine. Fore and lower text block edges a little dull. Lacks front free endpaper. Previous owner's name and address messily on first blank page which has a two short closed tears at the top, else internally neat and clean. Heather Muriel Price (1930-1972) authored at least seven children's stories, most of which are tales of family adventure. Gernat, Mary (illustrator).
