The pictorial covers are bright and tight and , other than the signatures, the book is unmarked. There is no dust jacket. Photos of Pearl and Earl as "dog people illustrate the story and are the work of the authors. This oblong book measures 101/4" X 81/2 ".

Pages are clean, crisp, and bright. Printed in full-color with illustrations throughout. 32 pages. Copyright page dated 2012. Stated First Printing with complete number line. Signed by authors in black ink on front endpapers, inscribed "To Dr. Lincoln Brower, Thank you for your kind comments about our documentary film, 'Plight of the Monarch.' Hope you enjoy our book and may it tickle your funny bone! Thanks, Kirby & Cindy." Below this are two stamped dog paws, signed "Earl" and "Pearl," with a stamped butterfly signed "Rosita." Dated "April 2013" in bottom corner with the authors' business card taped to the page. Taped to the attached endpaper is a letter to Brower from the authors, thanking him for reviewing their documentary. A very nice copy. We ve got a wonderful bookcase or two of books from Lincoln Brower s collection listed here. Everything you know about Monarch Butterflies, you know because of Brower s work, both scientific and outreach. He was a great teacher, an important researcher, a torch-bearing conservationist, and a leading light in lepidoptery. We are extremely excited to offer his books.
