Keating of Pennsylvania, written in the aftermath of his service in the First World War.The poems follow a soldier"s journey from training camp to transport ship, to France and the Western Front, and finally homeward. The author"s acknowledges the work as a tribute to the sacrifices of American troops "over there" and "over here." In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities. Hinges reinforced with tape. Internally, firmly bound. Slight cracking at lower gutter of title and final pages, with binding slightly exposed, but firm. Pages bright and clean. Offsetting to leaves 40-41, appearing to have been from a ribbon. Very Good. book.
