Adjudicat…ario: Manuel Pérez Gascón, su mujer Catalina Alonso, y sus herederos. Descripción de la pieza: Exención perpetua de huéspedes de aposento de corte y soldados de guerra para una casa en la calle de la Cruz Verde (Parroquia de San Martín) solicitada por Manuel Pérez Gascón a causa del mal estado y riesgo de hundimiento de la propiedad, tasada en 21 ducados de alquiler. La exención, valorada en 2.625 maravedís (1 ducado=375 mrs.; 21 d.= 7875 mrs.; 1/3·7875= 2625 mrs.) se pagará de tercia parte cada año, y con obligación de hacer las convenientes reparaciones en los dos primeros años, so pena de perder la gracia. Dicha cuantía corresponde al aposento de Diego de Aranda, soldado de la Guardia Alemana, por valor de 1565 mrs.; a Juan Antonio Narváez, soldado de la misma guardia por 185 mrs.; y a Matías Requejo, Portero de los Consejos de Estado y Guerra, por los 875 mrs. restantes". El documento describe la propiedad con 33 pies y cuarto de fachada; 33 pies de trasera; 62 pies por cada medianera; y un total de 2054 pies cuadrados (575 m2 en planta aproximadamente). Notas históricas: Este documento reviste cierta singularidad ante la escasez de firmas manuscritas no estampilladas de Mariana de Austria como Regente del Reino pese a haber ocupado dicho cargo desde 1665 hasta 1675 (cuando Carlos II alcanzó la mayoría de edad). Este documento se contextualiza en el sistema de Carga de Aposento de la Corte madrileña, por el cual se debía ceder parte de la vivienda para alojar huéspedes o personal de Corte. Habitualmente, esta cesión consistía en la mitad de la superficie útil; pero en algunos casos, determinadas propiedades quedaban exentas de tal obligación, bien por la concesión de un privilegio (comprado o concedido), o bien porque el edificio no permite espacial o estructuralmente una división apropiada para alojar huéspedes. En este último supuesto se enmarca este caso. El estado de semiruina del edificio imposibilita alojar personas en él, por ello, el propietario debía pagar a las arcas públicas un tercio de.

En cubierta, con otra letra, Juro de lanas 880.766 mvs [sic., por 88.766].- // Muerto Carlos I, el reinado de Felipe II entró en suspensión de pagos en 1557. Para gestionarla y disponer de ingresos en el corto plazo, Felipe II reprodujo en 1558 y 1559 la apropiación de bienes de propiedad privada (fundamentalmente el oro y la plata) que llegaban de las Indias occidentales realizada en 1556 y 1557. Las Cortes de Castilla presentaron reclamaciones en la reunión de Valladolid de 1558 para que esas apropiaciones se regularizaran como deuda y se pusieron serias en la de Toledo de 1559-1560, obligando a que se estudiase el conjunto de la deuda así acumulada con los nobles asentistas y mercaderes castellanos, forzando a Felipe II a emitir el 14 de noviembre de 1560 su célebre cédula donde reconocía la deuda y la consolidaba jurídicamente. El monarca quedó comprometido a saldarla y a, entretanto, pagar una renta anual equivalente a poco más del 7% del principal (14.000 maravedíes el millar). Este privilegio de juro que ofrecemos lo testimonia, pero, de modo muy interesante, extiende su recorrido mucho más alla. Comienza con sendos juros consecuencia de la cédula de 1560 reconociendo deuda por importe de más de seis millones de maravedíes al mercader burgalés Alonso de Castro, causada por dos apropiaciones, en 1558, del oro y plata que recibía de las Indias, que se le hicieron para la guerra contra Francia y contra el Turco y los moros, al no ser bastante con las rentas ordinarias, ni con lo que venía de Indias (como figura en este juro). En 1563, un pariente suyo, Diego López de Castro, alcalde mayor -perpetuo- de Burgos, que había sido procurador en las Cortes de 1558, le compró parte de la deuda (un millón y medio de maravedíes) y ligó la parte del juro correspondiente (ciento once mil maravedíes) al mayorazgo de Santiuste que iba a fundar. (Años atrás, en 1555, la reina Juana había solicitado una bula papal para poder enajenar el poblado de Santiuste del monasterio de las Huelgas de Burgos, a cuya hacienda pertenecía. Obtenida la bula, ese mismo año vendió el lugar por 503.661 maravedíes a Diego López de Castro quien, de inmediato, solicitó a Felipe II la autorización para fundar sobre el poblado, convertido en señorío, previo pago de la merced, el mayorazgo mencionado. Aunque recibió la autorización en diciembre de 1559, López de Castro no lo funda hasta abril de 1563, con su hijo Garci Fernández de Castro como primer titular, incorporando el juro adquirido a Alonso de Castro como una de sus rentas. Como a finales de 1567 la Corona todavía no había devuelto los principales de los préstamos, ni tampoco había satisfecho los importes anuales de los juros, en marzo de 1568 Felipe II, con otro (.) Frente a los expedientes de privilegios de juro que se conservan en el Archivo de Indias y en la unidad de Contaduría mayor de Hacienda del de Simancas, que son expedientes en papel, y frente a otras cartas de privilegio de juro, la que ofrecemos presenta varias peculiaridades de gran interés: la ligazón y compraventa de juros sucesivos que contiene, que muestran la evolución de la gestión de la deuda entre 1558 y 1573; una dimensión fuera de lo común -12 hojas de vitela ex (.).
