Le principe de l'ouvrage est de donner des prophéties perpétuelles pour des années regroupées selon des cycles de 28 ans, Moult indiquant, comme cela était cru avant la révolution copernicienne, que le Soleil fait le tour de Terre sur cette période, traversant les signes du Zodiaque sur une année et différents «nombres» sur les 28 ans.
