Vienna and Leipzig, Wolfrum, no date [ca. 1902]. Folio (42.5 x 29.9 cm). Portfolio, containing title page and 17 (of 18) coloured plates. Original cloth and paper portfolio with title and fine Jugendstil logo of the printer. = A very rare portfolio of Art Nouveau designs by Clara Aubertz, Hans Bauer, Carl Ducke, Robert Holubez, August Patek and others. Several of these artists are from the famous Viennese Werkstätte - or school - of the graphic artist Koloman Moser (1868-1918). Lacking Plate 9. Some plates a little age toned or foxed, binding with light shelfwear, but in all a very good copy. Very rare. We found no auction records, and only one copy in libraries, viz., in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. Neither in Evers, Ornamentale Vorlagenwerke, nor in Schneider-Henn, Ornament und Dekoration.

Printed in Vienna, these seem to be the German version of the French Document du Decorateur series. Excellent colour, hard to find images - we think that they would look great framed.
