A bright copy of this scarce pamphlet, arguing against war debts and reparations, with reference to the economic slump. The first edition of this scarce work in the publisher's original paper wraps. George Douglas Howard Cole (1889-1959) was an English political theorist, economist, and historian. He theorised guild socialism, belonged to the Fabian Society and was an advocate for the co-operative movement. Together with R. S. Postgate, Cole wrote this pamphlet arguing against war debts and reparations. They make the case that war debts and reparations are the main burden causing widespread financial collapse in Europe, and that they may cause further war and revolution. This is a fascinating and scarce pamphlet that anticipates the Second World War.Undated, dated from copies held at the British Library. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Externally smart, with just a touch of sunning to the spine of the wraps. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. Fine. book.
