The experimental work for this investigation was carried out by the Department of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, University of Illinois, in 1920. Results of the observations and calculations are given for the 51 cylinders. The results are summarized and presented as average values of thermal conductivity and diffusivity for different mixtures of concrete and for white marble, at different temperatures.
