First Thus. first published in 1833, this is the 1953 reissue with an introduction by James John Talman, no additional printings indicated so probably first thus, ex-libris with the usual marksand stamps, pocket on the back inside cover, otherwise a sound book therefore very good condition, no dustjacket but the summary from the inside flap has been glued to the inside of the front cover, letters from pioneer settlers in 1830's Ontario regarding farming conditions, advice about clearing the land, descriptions of sport (hunting and fishing) for people back in Britain contemplating emigration.
