Privo di brossura, pagine con un po' di foxing ma completo e in buono stato di conservazione. Il medico bolognese Angelo Rambaldi, di cui non ci sono giunte precise notizie biografiche, è un entusiasta della bevanda caffè. In questa breve dissertazione ne descrive le entusiasmanti proprietà e mentre ne vengono indicate le tecniche per la torrefazione e la preparazione, ne riconosce il potere, quasi fosse una panacea: la bevanda caffè rende vigili le persone nelle ore notturne, ha proprietà dimagranti, se bevuto caldissimo "corrobora lo stomaco, asciuga le catarratte, preserva dai calcoli e dalla podagra, raffrena gli isterici e solleva gli idropici, apre copiosamente le urine e le purghe alle donne, aiuta le gravide, preserva dalle febbri. Affermando di esserne un soddisfatto consumatore da oltre trent'anni sente inoltre di poter testimoniare anche per il suo carattere afrodisiaco, contro il pensar comune che, per il suo consumo, ne indicava una inibizione dei sensi.
