[MONTANA] [COWBOY]. First edition. 10 1/2" x 6 1/4" one sheet that folds to three 3 1/2" x 6 1/4" sections printed on each side. The author tells that at an early age he became a Montana cowboy "because I was a good rider and could read the brands well. I was hired by a cattleman as one of the main riders." He eventually became dissatisfied with his life of wanton ways and turned to religion for a needed change. An interesting religious tract printed by a Montana cowboy, Herbert J. Ranton, who eventually left cowboying, moved to Washington and converted to Christianity. Fine copy.
