Signed limited edition quarter bound in Nigerian goatskin with hand-marbled paper sides by Ann Muir at The Fine Bindery, Wellingborough and are signed by the author and the artist'. The artist was his daughter Sarah who died young, a fine now collectable artist. It is known that between 1990 and 1995 The Folio Society produced a series of finely bound, limited editions of nine of their classic titles, this being 'Of Gods and Men' by Frederic Raphael, with illustrations by Sarah Raphael. The edition is limited to 100 numbered copies and an unspecified number of lettered copies (maximum of 26) which were given to people associated with the book. This is lettered copy 'N', numbered in pencil and signed in ink by Frederic and Sarah Raphael. The hand-marbled boards are by Ann Muir. Top edges gilt. 8 full-page colour illustrations by Sarah Raphael and the title page lettering is by John Andrew. 174 pages. Printed on Virginia Wove and Fineblade cartridge paper. In black slipcase with onset paper label. The spine is very slightly darkened/tanned otherwise fine in very good indeed slightly rubbed slip-case. Signedes.…
