Likely a 1935 publication. Unpaginated. Color illustration of planes, trains, and automobiles on front board by Barnard Way. Boards are clean but very slightly curved away from each other. Bookplate from previous owner on front attached endpaper. Color illustration of the "Drake's Golden Hind", first ship to sail around the world, as frontispiece. Illustration of a train on title page. More illustrations by Barnard Way throughout. Pages are toned but text and illustrations are still clear and legible. Binding strong and tight. Very Good condition. Stapled Soft Cover. Condition: Very Good. Raphael Tuck # 5565. This is a VG Raphael Tuck & Sons paperback 14 page with 4 chromo text plates plus a nice cover chromo of a North American Indian in full dress with a kneeling Huck Finn like lad with his rifle. No date, but 1880 would be about right.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. Stiff softcover, about 15 by 7 inches, 10 pages, center stapled. Color lithographed cover with a handsome life sized pup is moderately worn with creases anda 4 inch tear repaired on the reverse with archival tape. lower corner of front cover missing a 3/4 by 1/4 inch piece. The cover tear had previously been repaired on the insde with cellotape which has been removed but has left a stain. I have re-inforced the center fold with archival tape. Contents are loose having pulled from thier staples. Slight wear to bottom of first page which has slight staining near fold, but contents generally clean with no scribbling. This book contains short poems illustrated in brown ink and three handsome color lithographs in addition to the cover illustration. Part of Father Tuck's Christamas Series. No date, myu guess published about 1890.

Founded by the writer Adolf Herckenrath (1879-1958) in 1909; continued by his son Walter Herckenrath (1907- 1989) and by Walter's children Guy and Helga Herckenrath until around 2000?.Poète, dramaturge, libraire et éditeur. Adolf Herckenrath est entré dans l' histoire en tant qu'ami d'enfance pour lequel Karel van de Woestijne a écrit son Laethemsche Brieven sur Lente (1901)? À partir de novembre 1909, Herckenrath résida dans la Veldstraat, où il conserva la librairie Adolf Hoste et, une fois l'université devenue bilingue, principalement consacré à la littérature francophone. Entre les deux guerres mondiales, Herckenrath était toujours actif en tant que professeur et membre du conseil d'administration de l'académie de théâtre de Gand, pour laquelle un magazine De Tooneelschool (1937-1940) avait également été fondé. Il aida à fonder Pan, le cercle de la littérature flamande orientale, en 1938? En 1935, Herckenrath s'installa dans la villa 't Kersouwken sur l'Eikeldreef à Sint-Martens-Latem.
