Add to basketHardcover. Condition: As New. Limited Edition. NUMBERED LIMITED EDITION IN TWO VOLUMES IN A SLIPCASE. AS NEW CONDITION. CAREFULLY STORED, UNOPENED and safe inside an AS NEW slipcase. The red cloth is not faded, which is the usual condition of copies. Red is a notoriously easy to fade colour, but this is in its full rich tone. The slipcase contains the two volume edition. Both volumes are bound in the same rich scarlet cloth. The paper labels are all as new, on the volumes themselves and on the case. No defects. The two slipcased volumes are quarto; their hardcovers are bound in full cloth with spine titles on paper labels; A full colour frontispiece of the author. Pages are reproduced in monochrome facsimile, and it is fascinating to see the crossings out and amendments. This limited edition is numbered in ink to the limitations page. This copy is number 476 of the limited edition of only 1,000 copies. RARE, especially in this particular condition. One strange fact: the volumes have two dates - 1972 on one and 1973 on the other. A superb set, of great interest to anyone who treasures the book, and particularly for collectors, libraries, historians and scholars. VERY SCARCE.
