In the Other Table (Being at the End of this Booke) are Set Downe by Order of the Kings Reignes, The Severall Times of Their Parliaments, Together with the Sundry Chapters and Intitulings of the Particular Statutes in Every of the Same: Whereby the Reader May Easily Finde Under what Title, And in What Leafe of this Booke, Any of These Statutes be Placed: And May Also.Readily See, What, And How Many Statutes in Eche Kings Reigne, Doe Concerne the Iustices of Peace, And in What Leafe of this Booke to Finde Them. London: Printed for the Societie of Stationers, 1611. Folio (13" x 9"). Recent calf, blind frames to boards, lettering piece, blind fillets and gilt publication date to spine, endpapers renewed. Light toning to interior, slightly heavier in places, faint dampstaining and wormholes to margins in a few places, light soiling and two later owner signatures, "R[ichar]d Beatniffe/ Hull/ 1730", and William Ritson) to title page. $2,500. * Rastell first published his great collection of statutes from Magna Carta to the present in 1557. It was updated periodically, the final edition appearing in 1625. As the title indicates, it had finding aids to facilitate its use by justices of the peace. Holdsworth notes, "[it] is partly of the nature of an edition of the Statutes at large, as the enacting parts of the public statutes in force are printed nearly word.

Light rubbing and some nicks and shallow scuffs to boards, a few small chips to board edges, later owner signature (R.W. Broadwood) and bookplate (Sir John Frederick) to front pastedown. Light toning to interior, minor worming to margins in a few places, light soiling and small early owner signature (Ra.
