Fischer on the front paste-down: "To Patricia Kisker, welcoming her back, Martin H. Fischer. 1938." FINE/AS NEW in Good only slipcase. The book itself is flawless. The slipcase shows some staining, losses, and shelf rubbing, otherwise is still structurally sound. As pictured.

Hardcover. Condition: Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. A collection consisting of two books, both entitled "Fischerisms", one signed by Howard Fabing and the other signed by Martin H. Fischer, both rare thus. 1) The 1930 volume is the true first edition. Hardcover, floral cloth-covered boards, printed label pasted to front board, 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches, 29 pp., b/w frontispiece caricature. Inscribed and signed on the title page by Howard Fabing. Fine. 2) The 1961 volume is a revised and enlarged, first thus, limited/numbered edition, hardcover with dustcover, 5 1/2 x 3 3/4 inches, 99 pp., b/w frontispiece caricature (same as in the 1930 volume). This edition was limited to 300 copies, and this copy is number 18. SIGNED by Martin H. Fischer on the front pastedown, dated 1961. Book and dustcover very near fine. Although this first thus edition is substantially expanded, the first and last aphorisms are the same as in the 1930 edition. (K062). Signed by Author(s).
