Not a book but a 12-inch, 33-1/3 rpm stereo vinyl record album, Kama Sutra KLPS 8061, still new and sealed in its original shrink-wrap, though we downgrade jacket to "very good" as a fan with very small teeth has chewed jacket lower right-hand corner. There's also a "cut-out" hole to lower left. Includes "Six O'Clock," "She Is Still A Mystery," and "Only Pretty, What A Pity," some of these almost certainly attributable to John B. Sebastian. Black paper over boards and spine with bright silver lettering on the spine. 252 pp 8vo. In WWI, The Grand Fleet (Royal Navy) far outnumbered and outgunned the German fleet yet when the met at Jutland the outcome was a draw. Something clearly was wrong and the public waited for the official histories of the battle to be released to learn the truth. Still, no official report was produced, due to objections from Admiral Beatty (British Admiral of the Fleet, who commanded Britain's battle cruisers in the Battle of Jutland (1916). This led to Admiral Bacon producing his own account of the battle, called The Jutland Scandal, in 1925. Two years later the man instructed to write the official report, Rear-Admiral Harper, decided to publish his account independently, under the title The Truth about Jutland. Together, these two books lay bare the facts about Jutland and reveal the failings of senior officers and the distortions of the early historians. Produced as one volume for the first time, this book tells the truth about the scandal that developed following the largest battle ever fought at sea. A clean very presentable copy.

"Surprisingly, one of sport's most contentious, complex, and defining clashes played out not in the boxing ring or at the line of scrimmage but on the genteel green fairways of the world's finest golf courses. Arnie and Jack. Palmer and NIcklaus. Their fifty-year duel, in both the clubhouse and the boardroom, propelled each to the status of American icon and pushed modern golf to the heights and popularity it enjoys today. With dogged reporting and crisp, colorful storytelling, the award-winning sports columnist Ian O'Connor explores this heated professional and personal battle in fascinating, intimate, and revelatory detail. Drawing on unique and exclusive access to Palmer and Nicklaus, and informed by some two hundred new interviews, O'Connor illuminates the two men's extreme differences and sprawling influence through mini-dramas, such as their little-known first meeting on the course, the topsy-turvy U.S. Open in 1962, their early involvement with marketing and a small agency called IMG, and later their intense competition for golf-course designs. By the end of this page-turning narrative, which spans five remarkable decades, we see that each man wanted what the other had: Arnold had the adoring fans but wanted the trophies. Jack had the trophies but wanted the love." - from the inner front jacket flap.
