Mit einem vierseitigen Auszug aus dem Gutachten des Generalinspekteurs des niederländischen Deichwesens, Christian Brünings, der hier Redelijkheids Rad weit über alle ihm bekannten Sandbagger stellt, allerdings ohne dessen unmittelbare Vorläufer zu kennen. - Der niederländische Wasserbauingenieur Redelijkheid (1728-1787) gilt als Erfinder einer Schiebeschleuse und eines Radbaggers mit einem doppelten Schöpfrad, dessen Durchmesser 42 Fuß (ca. 14 m) beträgt und mit 32 Schaufeln (mit eisernen Schneidekanten) ausgestattet ist. Man kann damit bis zu einer Tiefe von 21 Schuh (ca. 7 m) baggern. Obwohl Redelykheid Anleihen bei seinen Vorgängern, u.a. bei Peltier, Hunrichs und Knutberg nimmt, weist sein Bagger doch zahlreiche technische Einzelheiten auf, die er selbst erfunden hat und die ihn zu einem hervorragenden Ingenieur machen. Auch wenn Redelijkheids vorgestellte Maschine noch durch Menschenkraft angetrieben wird, wirkt ihre Konstruktion doch wesentlich fortschrittlicher als alle bisherigen Bagger. - Vorsätze mit Stempel eines Ingenieurbüros.
