Loosely inserted: signed manuscript letter from the author to Honore Forster, Australian Historian (Whaling Specialist). French text. Fine. 30 x 21. Thesis for her Ph.D. in Medicine, held Nantes, 4th April 1980. Chapter I: General History of Whaling. Chapter II: Whaling from the port of le Havre, and doctors or surgeons on French whaling ships. Chapter III (pages 153 to 257): Voyage of the whaling ship Albatros by Jean-Baptiste Généreux Nel, M.
